Welcome to Theta Fleet Engineering!
Theta Fleet Engineering is a new sub-department of Advanced Technology run by Lieutenant Commander Ritsu Tainaka. The aim of this site and department is to allow members of Theta Fleet to brush up on their Engineering Knowledge, Skills or just find general information for their every day simming or Engineering needs.
"But remember this, Japanese boy... Airplanes are not tools for war. They are not for making money. Airplanes are beautiful dreams. Engineers turn dreams into reality" - Hayao Miyazaki
How does Theta Fleet Engineering work?
Theta Fleet Engineering is run by a commitee of players who live, work and breath Treknology. As a Commanding Officer you have the right to know how your Starship, Starbase or Colonly functions. Therefore the Commitee of Engineers will be able to help you with any problems or questions. Research and Development bring new ideas to us and then we sit down and look it over giving it the yes or the no on if it can be created within acceptable proportions.
Where do I find information?
The website is arranged in subcategories on each basic area of a Starship/Starbase/Colony. Each area will have a basic overview of the technologies used. For example a basic over view of Warp and Impulse drive will be under Propulsion. At the end of each section there will be a list of Articles which will also be relevant to the area. Our articles are written by our Engineering Staff and are constantly being updated and uploaded.
How can I get involved?
You can be involved in many ways. The most direct way to be involved is to join the Engineering Commitee. This would be useful if you had a particular subject area you were knowledgable or good at, for example Warp Drive or Shield Systems. This will allow you to use your expertise and knowledge to benefit others and make a difference throughout the fleet.
Can only Commanding Officer's be on the Commitee?
Absolutely not! Anyone who has Engineering knowledge or expertise can join the Commitee, providing that there is not currently a officer in that expertise area. We want players who can participate and help where they can. You don't have to be a Commanding Officer to help out, you can be the Chief Engineer of the USS Twilight Sparkle if you want, just as long as its a Theta Fleet Simulation.
Who do I contact regarding Engineering?
If you need to contact someone about any Engineering matters of any kind, from Joining the team to knowing how your Warp Core works. Please contact the Chief of Engineering Ritsu Tainaka. If you can't get in contact with her for any reason, then please contact one of the Engineering Commitee members and they will pass the message along as soon as they can.
